This August Beauty Gardenia 1 gallon is approx. 11 in tall above ground. It is popular evergreen shrub with double white flowers and glossy, dark green leaves. It is most famous for its strong, sweet, jasmine-like smell and it flowers from mid-spring through fall. Great for a hedge and is relatively low maintenance because it is considered a slow growing shrub. It grows best in full sun to partial shade. It can grow to 4-6 ft high and 3-4 ft wide full grown. It will come in a black 1 gallon pot. For best results use a slow release fertilizer each spring using the amount indicated on the fertilize package. If leaves start turning yellow that is a sign that it needs fertilizer.
