Big Blue Liriope, also known as Monkey Grass, is a tough low-maintenance perennial. It has dark green narrow grass like leaves. It produces small purple/lavender flowers that comes in late summer. In mild climates, it stays green year-round. It is used for borders or ground cover. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and wide in dense clumps and adapts to full sun, partial sun and full shade. For best results use a slow release fertilizer each spring using the amount indicated on the fertilize package.
